Every month I see to review all of the games that were nominated as the Best of that month, which you can view in the link above!

As a game developer myself, I know how difficult it can be when you are starting out and how tricky it can be to tell how your game will be received by users. After all, you know how your game is meant to be played, and you can't just wipe that from your memory when you're building and testing it!

Therefore, I record myself playing all of the games for the first time for 10-15 minutes and try to voice how I'm feeling when I'm playing it, so that developers can see how a user might experience their game for the first time, especially for things like tutorials. I also try to provide some advice as well, but it might not always be the best: what I'm really hoping is that developers can draw their own conclusions on what might need work from how I stumble through their game.

MY PERSONAL ARBITRARILY-RANKED TOP 10 GAMES OF THE MONTH

My Top 10 was (in sort-of ranked order and based on my own criteria which is some weird sense of 'memorability' for me personally and totally subject to genres I like and I don't feature an author twice even if they had two good entries so as to spread the love etc etc):

And here are some Honorable Mentions (games that were close contenders for the top, additional games from an already highlighted dev this month, games that are still demos but promising, games that are clones of existing games but still good, applications and art collabs, licensed material, etc):

Thanks to all the portal warriors that sifted through all the games to find the best in the bunch for me to check out in the first place! And as always, even if your game wasn't listed by me personally, hold your head high as I enjoyed playing all of them nonetheless as they are, after all, the best of the month!

----------BONUS SECTION----------

These games were featured this month but weren't eligible for the top 10 since they were technically released in the past. But dang if they wouldn't have gotten a place in the top 10 if they were eligible, so check them out!

I took part in the Newgrounds Treasure Hunt this year and boy, did everyone find a lot of great treasure! Below is my personal top 10, so go and check them out in addition to all the great games above!

Game Devs Featured: @Davbo37 @ShortCakeCafe @Kule1Toxic @NaboGame @DavidMarchand @CalicoMakes @rmcco @sacchariinee @DasSG @MatthewSchreiner

I'm looking forward to the final results!

Encountering Ghoulscrapers in the Treasure Hunt reminded me that I already purchased it way back when but never got around to it, so I decided to play it as a bonus for this month at the end of the video! It's an awesome precision platformer and way worth the low asking price on Steam, so be sure to pick it up if the gameplay looks fun to you!

And heck, while you're at it, you may as well check out Rabbit Hole as well: it's by the same devs and it's free!

yay~

This month we had not only a Bonus Game, but a Bonus Guest as well, which is a first for this show! @TharosTheDragon came on to help me review the coop-only game Robots Out of Time and then we also visited one of his own coop games from long ago, Ame Fury! It was tricky to sort out our time zones but in the end, it was very nice to chat with him: whenever I've found his reviews out in the wild I've found them very insightful, and he was a great help with the Treasure Hunt event!

Unfortunately Ritual Bound wasn't actually submitted this month, only featured, so it wasn't eligible. Still, I wanted to put it up here because it was a shoo-in for 1st place until I realized! Ok, back to the actual Top 10!

This month we had a Bonus Game request and played G-Switch 4: Creator from @VascoF, check it out for yourself below if you want as it was pretty neat!

https://seriusgames.com/g-switch-4.html

Oh yeah, and I also did a review on Steam Next Fest October action games if you want to check it out: there are even some Newgrounds games in there! (the recording quality was pretty bad though, big goof on my part)
