I put all the effort into the later half of the game unfortunately and I totally get why you lost faith in it. stage 2 makes an especially bad impression cuz it was initially stage 1. An update is desperately needed for sure
Cheers! Sorry I was pretty rough on it, I'm just a big stickler for SHMUPs, haha! Let it be known that despite how rough I was on it, I still wanted and did revisit it post-haste after the recording and finished it, and like you say, I do think the back-half fared a lot better, and in general I think the game is constructed well and creates quite the fascinating journey. I suppose it's that classic case where, like you say, the developer gets better at making the game as they go, so the early game suffers a bit in retrospect unless a final touch-up is applied!

Thank you for featuring the game in the bonus section. I am glad that despite some elements of the fly mechanic, you liked it. I recently played AC as well, and I have to agree that might be a better way of doing it. As always, I really appreciate the detailed feedback!
