Aww, didn't make the list lol. but I saw us in the video.

Ey, you still made best of the month: wear that with pride! My judging is all wack anyway: your game was solid and plenty of times I come back and replay the games and slap myself for not giving it top 10 and such, haha!

Man, i miss being featured on these. really good stuff though lol

I'll be here for as long as I can, so there's always a chance to be featured once again! I'd definitely love to see some of your games again since I felt they always had an interesting style to them, but no pressure and feel free to take your time.

(das a long stream holy fuck, dedication!)

it was really interesting and insightful to see your first reaction as you played our game! I agree with your points that it feels more like a demo/engine than a full game. You brought up a lot of good points and your honesty is something I both appreciate and respect! ive been very critical myself in game reviews, its only fair i can take it as well.
Ill defo carry your words with me to my next games and blow off your socks!!! maybe

9 hours tho holy fuck

Cheers for the game and cheers for the understanding: I wouldn't blame you if you were a bit miffed since I know game jams are always under such tight time constraints and lord knows I wouldn't be able to make anything close to what you guys put out in that time. Glad to hear it's all good, and I will definitely be awaiting your next project!

Yeah, my game took a few minutes to make, I could have put more into it, but yeah, was just for a bit of fun and didn't expect it to make it to the front page!

Haha, I've had a few other people tell me of similar circumstances: I guess sometimes it can be both a blessing and a curse to be featured!

Hey Steventus here, the second pronunciation was correct!

Really appreciate your feedback on the game and glad you enjoyed it despite the fallbacks! You were right on the idea of toolboxes being used as a strategic element as that was what I had planned it during the design phase. I think my main weakness realising that idea, was my relative weakness in level design to fully bring the idea to life.

It's also very interesting to note that you did not notice toolboxes can be used to disable traps - that was an added mechanic in the game, but upon further thinking, maybe it is not required at all.

Finally, your opinion on how toolboxes should be position within the level design (make it difficult to get the toolbox, to have an easy time escaping later) is perhaps also another consequence of my level design, and my lack of insight into developing games with strategic elements.

Thanks for your hardwork especially since you played every single game! It's awesome stuff what you're doing and it's always great to get a kind of, real-time playtest and some thoughts you form going into the game.

Wow... That's a long video! Thank you for going above and beyond... That's some true dedication!

As a developer with limited resources, video feedback/first impressions like this are very valuable to me, and I'm sure every other developer here agrees with that sentiment too!

Regarding your review of L-Egg Hunt, I'm glad you enjoyed the grapple mechanics - I really tried to make the movement satisfying to use, with each "mode" having it's own purpose... I feel like I achieved that particular goal, but possibly at a cost of initial user-friendliness... Maybe someday I'll revisit the idea without the 1-week deadline and see what I can do to improve the learning curve :). Watching you swing around on the 2nd level was neat, though!

Cheers! I didn't list it above with the rest since I was a bit unsure, but L-Egg Hunt does have an honorable mention in my heart just because of the fun of swinging and switching between those movement modes!

Ahaha I knew you'd complain about the "read the description" prompt in the game. I actually thought about putting your name on that screen ahaha. I know it's annoying, but I do it so that if I think of adding anything to the description I don't have to go into the game and update it. Also dw bout forgetting how to say my name aha just remember me as Benny if it's easier. I'm pretty sure I actually got Xin to say "ploofmot" in a couple of takes in the game the way you say it. As always, love your work and keep up the hustle! Making these videos is great for us game devs! Especially the ones that are just starting out!

Haha, I've never felt so called out with that text prompt, but I gotta give you credit that it was a clever way to get around my rule (which I still have mixed feelings about). Cheers for the understanding about the name, I felt so silly because I was just joking around but then I actually somehow tricked myself and wasn't sure what it really was anymore, so I was sweatin'!

Ayo thanks for the review of my game man

Hey late response but thank you so much for checking out my game and for checking out so many games! What you do is awesome for the community =)
